VIDEIRA

Writer's picture: Maysa TomikawaMaysa Tomikawa

VIDEIRA is a playful hoodie characterized by its hood, pockets, and oversized sleeves. It was released in 2023 as one of the designs featured in the book Neons & Neutrals, curated by La Bien Aimée.

*Please note that this pattern is a written instruction and does not use charts or symbols.

The name Videira means "grapevine" in Portuguese. The grape-like color combinations can be creatively achieved using intarsia to create unique color blockings, making the knitting process enjoyable.

The knitting process begins with the back body, which is worked flat from the hem to the shoulders. Once the back body is complete, the knitting process branches into two options: with or without a hood. After finishing the hood and/or the front panels, the sleeves are picked up and knitted directly from the body. You can decide whether to include pockets or not while working on the front piece.

This pattern includes customization options for body length, hood size, pocket inclusion, and pocket opening placement. With these instructions, you can create a personalized Videira that perfectly matches your preferences.

Additionally, Videira is available in English, Japanese, and French. If you purchase the English version on STORES and would like to download a version in another language, please feel free to contact me using the email provided in the pattern. If you purchase through Ravelry, you can download versions in other languages directly.

We hope you enjoy knitting a Videira that is truly your own!
